“We moved away from Louisiana but every single time we visit, a first stop is Billy Ray's in Opelousas. The food is just wonderful, especially all the boudin balls. And the chicken cracklings, and the regular cracklings. It's all good. Billy's should be a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Anytime you go, there's people from every walk of life, including cops, thugs, suits, preps, rich folks, poor folks, and many ethnic backgrounds, all waiting patiently, united in love for boudin. The staff is always so gracious with our rambling, one more add-on, long list of delicious food. I love Billy's.”

“Stopped for lunch on our way home from New Orleans to Dallas, and this will be our permanent stop now --> the food was so good, great value, and really nice people! Take out only, so we took it for a picnic in our car. The lot's a bit rough with a closed gas station and hotel as neighbors, but it felt kinda like the neighborhood I grew up in. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯We tried one of everything. Get me 2 boudin rolls w pepperjack every day for the rest of my life (easy on the seasoned salt topping, personally.) The burger was great but a bit messy. The chicken wings were great but you could just get the boudin. Bring a cooler to take links home with you, cuz you'll be dreaming about them for days.Vegetarian options: Nothing is vegetarian except the fries *maybe”

“We love Toby's brunch buffet. Not a lot of vegetable offerings but delicious food. I'm honestly not eating a lot of vegetables anyway when they're offering seafood dishes and cheesy potatoes, rice and gravy, etc. with all the breakfast offerings as well. I definitely don't leave hungry.”

“This place is amazing. Fresh, Hot, well seasoned food. We were just passing through from Baton Rouge headed back to TX when my husband saw the sign a quick glimpse at the google reviews and we were on our way! The staff were so polite and extremely helpful as this was our first visit. We ordered 2 chicken dinners, 1 with fried okra and 1 with corn fritters. We also ordered 10pc friend shrimp with rice dressing(dirty rice) .. the food was so good guys I also bought the house seasoning to take back with me.Just go see for yourself!”

We had the jalapeno pepper cream cheese stuffed fried boudin. 5 stars. “If you're looking for a homey restaurant, this is it! Sarah is the best waitress there and the Nick's Special, Pizza Shack Soecial and Double Cheese breadsticks are the best!! The ONLY thing I dont care for is the muffelata, but that's my taste buds only! Everything else is top notch superb there!!Parking: Parking is a little tight by the restaurant, but a big parking lot next to the finance company building is available, and the parking lot across the street is pretty spacious!”

“I was visiting Louisiana and was blessed with a bbq chicken quarter dinner that was so good! You know it’s good when they got special days and hours for service! lol I only ate the food I didn’t go in to get in. The town is historical and the business had character and looked to be there for a long time; which is great in my book. It’s a nice small town and the food was spicy, delicious, and smoky bbq! Super fast service w/ a smile and very consistent (very good) quality food.The only reason I had to knock off a star is because (and this is NOT location specific) the chicken strips/tenders have been gradually shrinking over the vast many years that Cane’s has been around. It's not a full menu location, but they do have chilli dogs and pretzel sticks if you're looking for more than just ice cream and Blizzards.I came here with 2 adult friends and a 3 year old a couple weeks ago. The lady serving us went above and beyond to make it a nice experience. She was extremely diligent about confirming order accuracy, and she even came back to check if we wanted our pretzel sticks salted or not since they were for the toddler.There's no indoor seating here, but they do have a small outdoor covered area with lighting and a couple picnic tables.”

They were friendly and patient with our many requests, and were able to accommodate almost all of them.On the day of our wedding they came down to boil on site and we had the most fantastic time in part thanks to them.Of course, having them come out on site costed a little extra but it was well worth it. “Came in with a group of 14. I know, not a place you would typically go to with a bigger group but we had family in from out of town that had never been to a Waffle House and wanted to go. “This Chick-fil-A is new to the area, and as with most chick-fil-a , the food was good, service was fast, and employees were polite. The only thing I can complain about is, when you pull into the parking lot , the first thing you see( or don't see) is a cement " divider " about 4 inches wide ,4 inches high and 20 feet long that seperates "in coming" and " out going" traffic . It's not painted, and very hard to ser. Also there is no signage to direct you to the drive thru, which is very unusual for Chick-fil-A”
