Why is my Peloton stuck on installing an update? ›

Most issues will resolve themselves in a 10- to 15-minute timeframe. If the touchscreen is still stuck on the update screen after 10-15 minutes, please troubleshoot by checking to see if the power cable in the center port of the touchscreen is fully seated.

BIKE & BIKE+ TROUBLESHOOTING

If your Bike/Bike+ appears stuck on an update, please wait 10-15 minutes. Most issues will resolve themselves in a 10- to 15-minute timeframe.

Confirm that the outlet has power by using another device in the outlet. Ensure the power cable is securely plugged into the back of the Peloton Guide and power outlet. If the issue persists, power cycle the Peloton Guide by disconnecting the power cable directly from the outlet.

Tap the WiFi icon on the top right of your HD Touchscreen and select "Settings" from the dropdown menu. From the new menu, select "Apps." Tap the Peloton App from the list of applications. "Force Stop" the application, then select "Storage", then "Clear Cache."

If you are experiencing resistance issues with your Peloton Bike, or if your metrics seem to be registering incorrectly, you likely need to calibrate it. Peloton Bikes used to come with a calibration kit, but now you will need to request a calibration kit from Peloton's support team.

The easiest way to verify that your Peloton is updated to the latest and greatest software is to verify in the Settings section of the touchscreen. Here's how to send a diagnostic report or screen capture to Peloton.

Note: By default, after 15 minutes of inactivity, the Peloton Guide will automatically enter a sleep mode. This default setting can be changed through Settings > Screen > Auto-Sleep > Select a time. To wake up the Guide, you can press any two buttons on your Peloton Guide remote.
