That's one way to do it... but if you click "menu" button on the bottom left corner, it pop up with choices, click on option and you should see setting for playing game in full screen.

The game will play full screen when you launch/ready but when you go back to mechlab, it always be windowed.

The Front End is intended to be a window

changing the windowed/fullscreen option in the options menu will change how the game works during matches, but the front end is supposed to always be in a window pane.

you may use alt-enter to fullcreen the front end temporarily.

Just FYI, changing to fullscreen on the main menu doesnt change the resolution.

It'd be nice if they could implement some scaling in the scaleform main menu so you can maximise the window.

It would be great if they could give an option to change the resolution on the front end. I play on a 50" LCD tv on my gaming computer, and sit across the room from it in a nice comfy armchair. Details on the frontend (mechlab, cbill balance ect) are indistinguishable - and I have 20/20 corrected vision. It sucks having to get up and move every time I want to check my balance or tinker with my 'mechs in the garage.

        EDIT:
For what it's worth, the scaling on the frontend is much better in fullscreen (alt+enter). Complaint withdrawn, lol.

It really should be an optional if you want to have it in windowed or fullscreen mode. Its stupid to force it to be windowed only.

How do you figure? He's giving his opinion--which I currently share--with hopes the Developers might gain a consensus on the matter. Player feedback is crucial to beta development. It IS stupid that you are forced into a windowed launcher. My eyesight has deteriorated over the years and I find myself hunched over looking at the screen. Considering the details present in customization, it seems odd to display it in a small window.

So what if I am okay with the client front end being a window, but I have the in-game option set to Full Screen, and the game will not automatically go full screen mode when the match starts? Is this a bug? Any suggestions/troubleshooting aside from ALT+TAB?
I figured I would try replying to this thread instead of starting a new one.

              Agree with RenegadeMaster.

When I start, it always starts in Windowed mode even if set for Fullscreen in the Options setting, even the intro videos are Windowed. I am uncomfortable with waiting for a match to start just to see if Fullscreen works.

Also, when MechLab comes up, the window is offset from my screen's center, part of the window is off the left side of the screen. The one time I tried joining a match to see what happens, the window was off to the left and down some, I could not center the window in my screen. I thought it might have been a monitor or resolution problem until I saw threads about Windowed mode. Makes it hard to fight when some of the display is off the screen left and down out of view.
